Field Trip 8 January 2016
Following the conference, we will organize a field trip on Friday 8. January.
This time we will visit two farms close to Breda.
First we will visit v/d Avoird Trayplant (www.trayplant.eu) in Molenschot. V/d Avoird Trayplant is specialized in propagation of raspberry and strawberry plants (June bearers and everbearers). From January 2016, their new production location will be fully operational. This is a newly designed glasshouse for production and hardening of strawberry and raspberry plants under optimum controlled conditions.
The second visit will be at “Aardbeikwekerij Verpaalen” in Rijsbergen, a producer of strawberry fruits, strawberry motherplants, strawberry trayplants and raspberry longcanes. For more information, please visit www.aardbeienkwekerijverpaalen.nl.
A bus will be ready to pick you up at 8.00 o’clock at the van der Valk Hotel in Nuland (see website ‘where to stay’).
After the farm visits, we will have lunch and translocation back to the hotel, where we plan to arrive again at 15:00 o’clock.
Participation to this FIELD TRIP is exclusively for ISFC visitors only and completely free of charge. The Field Trip will be sponsored by Aardbeikwekerij Verpaalen and v/d Avoird Trayplant.
We celebrated our lustrum ISFC in 2015 with a conference dinner. At the request of many participants, we decided to organise this dinner again in 2016.
On Thursday evening we will organize this informal conference dinner, open for ISFC participants only. The conference dinner will be held at the Van der Valk Hotel in Nuland, starting at 19.30 hours.
For hotel details, please check at ‘where to stay’. Joining the conference dinner costs € 40,- per person. Registration is required to obtain access to the conference dinner.
